Moving company in The Hague
Moving company The Hague
Moving within or to The Hague? Verhuisbedrijf Holland is the partner of choice for a smooth, efficient move in the The Hague region, whether you are moving house or relocating a business.
Moving in The Hague: what to watch out for
A move in The Hague calls for more preparation than average. The seat of government has narrow streets in its older neighbourhoods, tall townhouses without a lift and parking pressure that is high across almost the entire centre. Verhuisbedrijf Holland knows this situation and makes sure your move runs smoothly from start to finish, whether you are leaving an upstairs flat in the Zeeheldenkwartier or moving into an apartment in Ypenburg.
We take the whole process off your hands: packing, dismantling furniture, safe transport and reassembling everything at the new address. You get a dedicated contact person who coordinates the move and a crew that knows the city. That way you keep the overview and know exactly when each stage happens.
Because we drive in and around The Hague every day, we know which neighbourhood calls for which approach. A delivery-window restriction in the centre, a parking permit in the Statenkwartier or a hoist lift for a steep staircase in Duinoord: it is all part of our standard planning. On moving day you notice little of it, and that is exactly the intention.

Big-city experience for your move in The Hague
Every move in The Hague is different, and we tailor our service accordingly. For a student room in the centre we come with a compact van and a small team, while for a full family home in Benoordenhout or an office on the Beatrixlaan we bring in a larger crew and the right equipment. We handle your belongings with care, from the fragile crockery to the heavy cupboard on the third floor. We work with transparent rates and no hidden costs, so you know in advance what the move will cost.
We also arrange the things that often make just the difference in The Hague: applying for a parking permit, bringing in a hoist lift for homes without a lift, temporary storage for the period between two homes and a complete packing service. With Verhuisbedrijf Holland you choose a reliable partner that knows the seat of government and arranges your move down to the last detail, so you can focus on the enjoyable side of your new home.

Moving in The Hague: a big-city approach
The Hague is a city of contrasts. On the coast lies Scheveningen with its boulevard and high-rise, while in the centre the stately townhouses of Duinoord, the Statenkwartier and the Archipelbuurt set the tone. It is precisely that variety that makes a move in the seat of government very different from one in a village or a smaller city.
In neighbourhoods such as the Zeeheldenkwartier, Duinoord and the Statenkwartier you find tall townhouses and upstairs flats with narrow, steep staircases and often no lift. In many cases furniture and white goods go up through the window on a hoist lift, something we plan for as standard. In Bezuidenhout and Benoordenhout you find portico flats and apartments with a lift instead, which gives the move a completely different character. In new-build neighbourhoods such as Ypenburg, Leidschenveen and the Wateringse Veld access is more generous, with wider streets and more parking.
Parking is the biggest point of attention in The Hague. Across almost the entire strip within the dunes and in the centre there is paid parking or permit-holder parking, and during the day the streets are full. For the removal van we therefore apply in advance for a temporary parking permit or a parking ban with the municipality of The Hague, so that there is a space free outside the door on moving day. Without that preparation it costs an unnecessary amount of time and you run the risk of a fine.
Since 1 January 2026 there is also the zero-emission zone, which has been extended from the centre to the entire coastal strip, roughly as far as the Laan van Meerdervoort. That is the strictest environmental zone there is. We keep our planning and our fleet aligned with it, so that your move stays within the rules. Our home base is in Werkhoven in the Utrecht region. We reach The Hague quickly via the A12, a journey of about seventy kilometres and roughly an hour’s drive, which makes us a logical choice for a move between the Utrecht region and The Hague too.
