Moving within or to Maarssen? Verhuisbedrijf Holland is the partner of choice for a carefree and efficient move in the Maarssen area, whether you are moving home or relocating a business.
Moving on the Vecht, we take care of it
Are you moving within or to Maarssen soon? Verhuisbedrijf Holland arranges your move in this village on the river Vecht from A to Z, so that you are left with no worries of your own.
Maarssen has two very different faces: the historic Maarssen-Dorp with its narrow plots along the Vecht and the spacious post-war district of Maarssenbroek on the other side of the railway. Moving out of an old canal house calls for a different approach than clearing a family home in the polder. We are happy to visit beforehand, so that the planning and the price you receive match the reality.
Our regular team takes the entire job off your hands: packing, dismantling furniture, lifting and, at the new address, setting everything up neatly again. We do not work with changing subcontractors but drive our own vans with our own equipment, which means you keep a single point of contact and know exactly who you are dealing with.

Years of experience with moving in Maarssen
Every move in Maarssen calls for its own approach. For a listed building on the Herengracht we plan the work differently than for a flat in Bloemstede or a family home in Duivenkamp. We always match the team, equipment and schedule to exactly what your home and street require.
Fragile items such as crockery, mirrors and paintings we pack with sturdy boxes, packing paper, wrap and moving blankets, so that everything comes through the journey well. Large furniture is dismantled on site and expertly reassembled at the new address. If there is time between the handover of the keys to your old and new home, we store your belongings temporarily in our heated and secure storage, by the month and flexible.
You pay a fixed price that is set out clearly in advance, with no hidden costs. That way you keep a grip on your budget and can focus on setting up your new home, while we take care of the logistics.
How does your move in Maarssen work?
A smooth move stands or falls on the preparation. We go through your home beforehand, map out your belongings and discuss the specifics of your address, whether that is a steep staircase in a canal house or a gallery flat in Maarssenbroek. On the day itself, you work with a well-drilled team that knows what needs to be done.

Maarssen: from the Vecht banks to Maarssenbroek
Maarssen lies on the river Vecht and belongs to the municipality of Stichtse Vecht. The village consists of two worlds that could hardly differ more from one another. On the east side lies Maarssen-Dorp, with a history spanning more than nine hundred years. Along the river you will find the characteristic ribbon development with narrow plots, old merchants’ houses and stately country estates such as Goudestein, which now serves as the town hall. Streets like the Herengracht, the Langegracht and the Zandweg are narrow and sometimes one-way, with limited room to load and unload. Many buildings are national or municipal monuments with steep staircases and cramped hallways, where a hoist lift often provides the answer.
On the west side of the railway lies Maarssenbroek, the large post-war district that was built in the polder from the early 1970s. More than twice as many people live here as in the old village. The neighbourhoods carry names such as Bloemstede, Duivenkamp, Reigerskamp and Boomstede, with many family homes, flats and spacious parking courts. Moving usually runs more smoothly here, although a gallery flat does call for clear arrangements about the lift.
For parking, it is useful to know that Maarssen has no paid parking, but that permit-holder parking applies on the Langegracht and part of the Zandweg in the village. In Maarssenbroek you park freely in the courts. Our home base is in Werkhoven in the Utrecht region. Via the Utrecht ring road and the A2 towards Amsterdam we are at your door within around half an hour, some 25 to 30 kilometres away. That short distance keeps costs low and also makes a move at short notice perfectly manageable. Whether you are leaving a canal house in the village or moving into a home in the polder, we know the quirks of Maarssen and act accordingly.
