Privacy policy

Verhuisbedrijf Holland attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data. In this privacy policy we explain clearly and transparently which personal data we collect, why we do so and how we handle it. We process your data carefully and in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

By using our website and our services, you assume that we handle your data with care. If you still have questions after reading this policy, you can always contact us using the contact details below.

Who we are

Verhuisbedrijf Holland is responsible for the processing of your personal data as described in this privacy policy. Our details are:

Which personal data we collect and why

We collect only the personal data needed to send you a quotation and to get in touch with you. Through the contact and quotation form on our website, we may receive the following data from you:

  • Name: to address you personally and to handle your request.
  • Telephone number: to contact you by telephone about your request or your removal.
  • E-mail address: to send you the quotation and to communicate with you by e-mail.
  • Preferred removal date (optional): to assess the feasibility and planning of your removal.
  • Explanation or message: to properly understand your wishes and the circumstances of your removal and to draw up a suitable quotation.

We use this data solely to prepare and send a quotation, to make contact and to carry out our services. Requests are sent to us by e-mail and stored in the content management system (CMS) of our website.

Legal bases for the processing

We process your personal data only where there is a legal basis for doing so. For the data mentioned above, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of, or steps prior to, an agreement: when you request a quotation or use our services, we process your data in order to carry out that request and agreement.
  • Legitimate interest: we have a legitimate interest in communicating with you, following up on your request and ensuring that our services run smoothly.
  • Consent: for the placement of certain cookies (analytics and marketing) we ask for your consent in advance. Please see our Cookie Policy for this.

Retention periods

We do not keep your personal data any longer than is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. In concrete terms, we apply the following principles:

  • We keep customers’ data for as long as is necessary for carrying out the assignment and maintaining the customer relationship, and for as long as we are legally required to do so (for example under the tax retention obligation).
  • Data from quotation requests that did not lead to an assignment is kept for a maximum of 2 years after the last contact, after which we delete it.

After the retention period has expired, your data is deleted or anonymised.

Sharing with third parties and processors

We do not provide your personal data to third parties for commercial purposes. We share your data only where this is necessary for our services or where we are legally required to do so.

For the management and operation of our website, we use a hosting provider that hosts our website and the data stored in it. With parties that process your data on our behalf (processors), we make arrangements to ensure an appropriate level of security and confidentiality, recorded where necessary in a data processing agreement.

In addition, reviews that are visible via Google may be shown on our website. When Google services are used, data may be processed in accordance with Google’s privacy policy.

We use necessary cookies for the proper functioning of the website and, only after your consent, cookies for statistics and marketing. You can read more about the cookies we use and how you can manage your consent in our Cookie Policy.

Security of your data

We take the protection of your data seriously and put in place appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised alteration. Among other things, we use a secure connection and ensure that only authorised persons have access to your data. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or there are indications of misuse, please contact us.
