We know Veenendaal inside out
Veenendaal lies on the border of the provinces of Utrecht and Gelderland, wedged between the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and the Veluwe. It is by far the largest town in the Gelderse Vallei and has a past as a textile and wool town, which you can still see in older neighbourhoods and factory buildings. The town has a pronounced shopping centre, a densely built-up core and, around it, a ring of post-war districts and modern new-build.
That mix makes for varied moving situations. In the centre and the Stationswijk there are narrower streets and upstairs flats, where we often work with a hoist lift and have to watch the parking space. Districts such as the Franse Gat, a 1950s reconstruction neighbourhood that is being extensively renewed, and Dragonder consist of terraced houses and porch flats. On the east side lies the new-build of Veenendaal-Oost, with spacious single-family homes, wide streets and driveways where a removal van reaches the door easily.
For parking, the centre is divided into zones: around the shopping streets it is paid parking, while in the surrounding ring you may only park with a permit. Where needed, we reserve a spot for the van in advance or apply for an exemption, so we can load and unload straight away on the day itself. In the new-build and the more spacious residential districts, parking is usually not a problem.
Veenendaal is well connected. The town lies directly on the A12 with its own exit, and has three railway stations: Veenendaal-Centrum, Veenendaal-West and Veenendaal-De Klomp, with connections towards Utrecht, Rhenen and Arnhem. That journey is about 30 kilometres and takes half an hour outside rush hour, so we can be with you quickly at short notice too.
